感謝 / Thanks(2006)
藤沢アートワーク出展作品。
旧モーガン邸は、経年劣化により、その身からペンキをポロポロと剥がしていた。
みんなそれを”汚れ”だといい、”汚い”と言った。でもそうなのだろうか？そこには本当に何も
意味はないのだろうか？
もしかしたら、その剥がれたペンキは建物からのメッセージだったりはしないのかと思った。
今まで建物を使い、あるいは保存活動を続けてくれた人々、そしてイベントや展示を見に、
この建物を訪れてくれた人達への、感謝の”花”のようなものだったりはしないのだろうか？
もし、これが本当にそうだったなら、こんなに素敵な汚れはないと思った。
Paint on the ceiling and wall has already come off in the old mansion,
and it has begun falling on the floor.
However, they are “simple dirty pieces”, aren’t they?
Possibly, it may be a message from this old mansion.
It’s mansion’s appreciation to the owner and visitors with all its might.
Isn’t it a gift from the mansion like a “bouquet” filled with appreciation?
Thinking that way, such dirt is not bad, ….. I believe.
