時を紡ぐ / Marks (2010/あいちトリエンナーレ2010)
『空き店舗』、そこは一見すると何も無い場所の様に見える。
ただ、目に見えなくても、そこには空き店舗となるまでの経緯があり、今まで積み重ねられた
時間があり、様々な物語があり、街の記憶がある。
そんな目には見えない『時間』や『物語』、『街の記憶』を、表に現したいと思った。
そこに現れるのは、本当にささやかな世界かもしれない。
けれど、もしその光景を見た人が、そんな小さな世界にも興味を持ち、普段は気にしない
場所や街に対して、自分なりの何かささやかな発見をしてくれれば、何気ない日常や、
いつもの街も、もっと楽しくなると信じて。
By accentuating the scratches on the floor of this space that was once used as a company cafeteria, the work called up the time, multitude of stories, and memories of the town that had accumulated in the room. The modest world that emerged provided viewers who would probably ordinarily overlook such areas with new discoveries, and presented everybody things and the normal townscape in an attractive way.
